Nafplio is the perfect base from which to explore the region, with easy day trips to the epic sites of Mycenae, Argos and Epidauros - where you can enjoy a theatre workshop with our friend Argyris Xafis from the National Theatre of Greece. We can host study sessions at the Centre for Hellenic Studies, which just happens to be right on the seafront. If you’re lucky we might even be able to take a boat out for a day off to explore the Argolic gulf and magnificent coastline.

All roads ultimately lead to Athens, the birthplace of democracy and the real big beast of legendary ancient cities. We have unique access to experts and museums, so be ready for an intellectual feast of experiences to satisfy your hunger for history. We will also venture out to the Temple of Poseidon, where you can recite poetry as the sun goes down over the Saronic Islands.

The town itself is charming and peaceful, with utterly dazzling views. Our friends at the European Cultural Centre can host a seminar and you can perform some Greek tragedy in a private amphitheatre overlooking the valley below…
